Helicopter Ride

Soar around Santorini's half-submerged caldera to see the spectacular remains of the original island (Thira) that collapsed beneath the sea after a volcanic explosion in Minoan times. Continue to Santorini's so-called 'volcano island,' a rocky outcrop near the main island, and see the active Nea Kameni volcano. Look for fumes pluming from the crater, and admire the black volcanic rocks dramatically juxtaposed against the deep-blue hues of the sea.
